It’s a wonderful Fall day in Jersey. After listening to my colleague speak about her NY marathon race, I’m inspired to do more physically. I’m not sure if the desire will turn into running a half marathon myself or just increasing my cardio activity but she really motivated me to look at what I’m doing for myself.
Last night the tri-state NY/NJ/PA area watched the Yankees and Phillies with bated breathe. Since all of my closest friends are Yankees fans, I’m a biased towards the NY team. I spent the evening having a nice dinner and watching the game in the home of a friend of mine. We had a really great time. It’s just too bad the Yankees will have to play Game Six in the World Series. I really hope they finish this in the Big Apple so the city can come alive.
So after a night of a little sleep, I’m back at work trying to stay focused and work on some reports. Gathering statistics can be tedious but when you sit back and look at the data, it can really blow you away. I’m hoping to prepare a light dinner this evening and do some writing. I need to make up for last night’s festivities. It’s only 1PM and I’ve already started yawning. I need to eat lunch now to make up for the banana and cereal bar I grabbed this morning as I rushed to work. (Low blood sugar could lead to sleeping on my desk. And I don’t want that to happen.)
Hey has anyone ever looked at their lunchtime salad and wished it was a bowl of ice cream? That’s where I am right now but I’m sure the V-8 and spinach salad and feta salad will make me feel better in no time.
That is if I have a fun-sized packet of M&M’s when I’m finished eating.
