Last Friday night I was sitting at Cafè Centro, a quant French restaurant in the MetLife Building on Park Avenue in New York City. Now, this wasn’t where I pictured my weekend beginning but my seat by the fireplace made me the envy of the room. It was a chilly night. Brrr!
Anyway, some of my friends and new business associates wanted to celebrate the launch of the North Star iPod Touch contest. The manager was gracious enough to let a photographer take a few photos, I’m not sure if I’ll post the pictures online but I’ll frame a few for my home office. Now, I want to take a moment to say I really hope my fans will enter this contest.
It’s quite easy to enter, if you complete one of the task you’ll gain a number of entries in your name toward the prize. Now, I would love to have a true fan complete every contest task but I’m not going to limit my fan base. Just let me know you want to win. If all you can do is ‘Like’ my AMB Novels Facebook page, or if you’ve only post a review of my novel on Amazon.com, then that’s fine. I only want to know you’re out there and give you chance to win.
Now for the skeptics, I don’t send spam emails or sell your information to a third party. I’m too busy writing South Beach – Book Two in the Sheridan series to do that. I just want your email so I can contact you if you win. Point blank. Period.
Many people believe authors should only give book-related items in their contests winners but I’m going to listen to my fans. You guys told me you love the type of prizes I offered so I'll continue to feature prizes that appeal to you. The moment no one enters one of my contest, I’ll know that prize wasn’t worthwhile. Until then, I’ll keep thinking of nice prizes related to my novel. (You know what they say, 'If you build it, they will come'. LOL)
This contest is my way of acknowledging that I wouldn’t be published author without your support and encouragement. Thank you for the uplifting messages, I read and answer every one.
Well, I better get back to writing I can't wait to present South Beach to you. :-)
