Delaney Diamond
Visionary Award Recipient 2015
Nominee for Outstanding Author in Multicultural Romance 2015
Acceptance of 2015 Visionary Award
Wow. I have no words. Which is terrible because I'm a writer. LOL. To be recognized for my small contribution to the romance genre, a genre which I adore, is such an honor that I feel overwhelmed.
Sometimes I hear people complain about the backbiting and negativity among writers. But to be honest, I've had an overwhelmingly positive experience. Since I started writing, I've networked with and learned from so many wonderful authors generous with their time and knowledge. I've learned a lot, and I hope that I've been able to help others--even a little bit--in the same way. I humbly, gladly (while turning cartwheels) accept this award.
Thank you to Angeline Bishop and everyone else who had anything to do with giving me this honor. Mwah!!
Nomination Thanks
What can I say except thank you? It sounds inadequate, but it's heartfelt. As writers, we never know if readers will enjoy our work as much as we enjoy writing it. It's a risk we take as artists--the same that all artists take. So when a reader contacts me to say how much they enjoy my novel; or I read a glowing review; or in this case, receive a nomination for a writing award on a platform like this, it's amazing. It's humbling. It's encouraging. It makes me smile--a lot. And I can't say "Thank you" enough!
