J.J. Murray
Winner for Outstanding Author in Interracial Romance 2014

Nomination Thanks

I was humbled to be nominated but I was stunned to win with so many other excellent nominees in Marcia King-Gamble, Sienna Mynx, AlTonya Washington, and Shyla Colt.
I did not expect to win at all.

At ... all.

A Good Man arose from a single question: What if normal, ordinary, moral people went on reality TV shows and stayed normal, ordinary, and moral despite the network attempting to change them for the worse? I enjoyed creating John and Sonya's relationship, but crafting the "big moment" (the grand finale of the show) was the first thing I wrote. I know it's strange to write the ending before writing the beginning, but that's how my mind works--when it works at all.

Thanks to all those readers who have supported me since Renee and Jay 25 novels, a second mortgage, a dog, and 12 years ago.
