I would like to thank my readers and supporters for my nomination and subsequent win of the Outstanding Debut Author in Urban Literature Award. When I heard of the nomination back in the summer, I was pleased and honored, however, I did not dare believe that I ever had a chance of winning.
Let me just say that surprised, stunned, and honored once again is what I'm feeling today after learning that I had, in fact, won the AMB Ovation Award for Outstanding Debut Author in Urban Literature.
My heartfelt thanks go to R. Thomas, of Miami, Florida who had the courage to nominate me for the award. I shall forever be indebted to you and all the readers who believed in me and didn't pre-judge what I was offering, but gave it a chance to speak to them.
Thank you to Ms. Angeline M. Bishop and the panel of judges who have made these awards possible. Peace and Blessings to you all as we enter the Holiday Season in which we celebrate giving. The gift you have just given to me is indescribable.
