"Are you gonna make sure Mommy isn't lonely anymore?" (Nyla)
Bio Nyla Renee Preston and Messina Alana Preston are the only children of Keith Preston and Caresse Aldana’s seven year marriage. They enjoy their lives in the Toms River, New Jersey and the friends they’ve made at the Mason Community Center. Nyla enjoys martial arts and tennis classes while Messina enjoys gymnastics and dance classes.
Nyla is extremely protective of her mother and her little sister. When her parents split, she was relieved that she didn’t have to worry about her father’s alcoholic episodes. But instinctively, she knew their world had changed and most likely not for the better. She doesn’t like that she can’t see the ‘fun dddy’ that Keith was a majority of the time.
Messina is adjusting to having her father live in his own house. She thinks its because he doesn’t know how to talk nice to Mommy and he snores too loud. Those things made a nice judge tell her daddy to live in his own house. She reminds her daddy that she will always be his girl and will work hard in school. In return, her father cannot come to Mommy’s new house and yell about anything.
The stress of having their childhood world turned upside down may have disturbing impacts into their adulthood. That is why Caresse is protective of her children’s routine, makes sure they are constantly surrounded by family, and had them visits a child psychologist twice a month.
They love watching the Disney Channel and believe Justin Bieber and the British pop band One Direction are totally hot.
